FAQ

Most people complete eLearning in a few evenings, then pool and open water over 2–3 weekends, depending on schedules and conditions.
Yes—exposure suit, BCD, regulators, weights, cylinders. Bring swimwear and a towel. We’ll advise on personal kit like mask/snorkel if you want your own.
Plymouth offers sheltered options. If the sea says “not today,” we reschedule your open water dives—your safety and enjoyment come first.
Junior Open Water (10–14) certifies to 12m and requires a certified adult buddy. At 16, it upgrades to full Open Water Diver (18m).
You’ll complete a standard medical questionnaire. If it flags anything, you’ll need a diving doctor’s sign‑off before in‑water sessions.
Yes—SSI Open Water Diver is accepted globally at dive centres and resorts.
Age 10+ (Junior OW for 10–14), basic swimming comfort, and a completed medical questionnaire (doctor sign‑off only if required).
